You have questions. We have answers
Pashmina is the intricate art of handcrafting luxury wraps, scarves, and shawls from the fine hair of Capra Hircus/ Changthangi goats, known as cashmere.
Wool is obtained from sheep while Cashmere is derived from Capra Hircus/ Changthangi goats. The distinction lies in their sources, making them two different types of fleece.
Cashmere is exceptionally warm, with a heat-retaining capability approximately ten times greater than sheep wool, making it a preferred choice over Merino wool for its warmth and cozy comfort.
To identify genuine pashmina or cashmere products, look for the fiber’s softness, weave, lightweight texture, and warmth, and check for proper labels indicating authentic origin and quality.
Cashmere can be worn in any way you like. For an exquisite, stylish, and cozy appearance, you can, for example, drape it over your shoulders or wrap it around your neck.
Store pashmina or cashmere products in a clean, dry place like a wardrobe shelf away from direct sunlight. Wrap them in a muslin cloth and use mothballs in the wardrobe, but keep them away from the cashmere.
